West Thames College is launching its 2026 Transport + Logistics Skills Hub initiative next week in Feltham to connect local people with opportunities in the region's key transport and logistics industries.

The new Hub, based at the College’s Skills + Logistics Centre, aims to bring together education, employers, and the community to raise awareness of careers in transport, logistics, and supply chain management. It seeks to engage young people and adults who may not have previously considered the sector, while also helping those already interested to understand the breadth of available opportunities.
Transport and logistics are crucial for moving goods, supporting businesses, and maintaining supply chains. With Heathrow Airport and major commercial operations nearby, West London is a significant location for the industry, offering pathways for skill development and career progression.
Through collaboration with employers, the Hub will support training and careers provision aligned with industry needs. It will also serve as a platform for careers events and recruitment activities, helping businesses connect with potential recruits and providing local people with insights into the required qualifications and skills.
This initiative builds upon the Logistics Skills + Careers Hub, which opened in October 2024. The Hub's continued development supports wider efforts to align training with employer demand across West London, including the 2026 West London Local Skills Improvement Plan, which prioritises transport and logistics.
By strengthening partnerships between education and industry, West Thames College aims to help more individuals discover possibilities within transport and logistics, improve access to training, and contribute to the long-term growth of the regional economy.
