Putney Leisure Centre is scheduled for a series of upgrades aimed at enhancing its facilities for the local community, including new studios and a refurbished gym.

The Putney Leisure Centre is set to undergo a range of upgrades designed to future-proof the facility for the local community. These improvements include the installation of a new Reformer Pilates studio and the creation of new family-friendly spaces, while importantly retaining the existing 33-metre swimming pool.
As part of the works, the gym will be expanded and fully refurbished, featuring a wider selection of equipment. A brand-new health suite will be installed, replacing the current spa. In addition to the Reformer Pilates studio, a larger group cycling suite will also be added. The costs for these improvements are fully funded by the centre's partners, Places Leisure.
Feedback from residents and centre users indicated a strong desire to keep the 33-metre pool. The changing facilities are currently being updated, and the teaching pool will be redesigned to promote water confidence, play, and support young swimmers. Further family-oriented facilities include a new soft play area, ensuring engaging spaces for children.

The upgrades will also include a new café and reception area, intended to provide a space for users to connect before and after their sessions. The works are planned to be delivered in phases to minimise disruption, with completion expected by the end of Summer 2027.
