Around 40 colleagues, leaders, partners, and patient representatives gathered on Tuesday 27 October for TeamLGT’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) to reflect on progress, celebrate achievements, and discuss future challenges.

The meeting, chaired by Nav Chana MBE, Interim Chair of the Board, included Ben Travis, Chief Executive, Trust Board executives, and colleagues from across the organisation. Attendees also met the incoming Chair, Professor Andrew George MBE, who will assume the role on 1 November 2026.
A significant highlight was the launch of Becoming Exceptional, LGT’s new five-year strategy for 2026-2031. The strategy, shaped by patients, local residents, colleagues, and partners, aims to build on recent progress and deliver consistently better care for over one million people across Bexley, Greenwich, and Lewisham.
The discussion then shifted to the challenges anticipated for the upcoming winter. Through a round-table discussion, clinical colleagues and local partners explored strategies for closer collaboration to enhance patient care and support local communities. Key topics included winter pressures, corridor care, mental health, and ensuring patients receive the right care in the right place and at the right time.
A central message throughout the AGM was that delivering better care is a shared effort. By continuing to work collaboratively across TeamLGT and with its partners, the organisation aims to tackle challenges, support communities, and achieve its ambition of becoming exceptional for the people it serves.
