The adult section of Hornsey Library is scheduled to reopen in Spring 2027 following essential improvement works, the London Borough of Haringey has announced.

The remainder of the library, including the children’s library, original gallery, and quiet study space, will remain open throughout the project. Key services such as book returns, public computers, and a selection of books for borrowing will be relocated elsewhere within the building.
Residents will also be able to reserve books from any of the other eight Haringey libraries and collect them from Hornsey Library while the repairs take place.
The council has apologised for any disruption and inconvenience caused and thanked residents for their patience while these essential improvements are carried out.
Upon completion, the project will preserve the historic character of Hornsey Library and future-proof its adults’ library for many more years to come.
