“"Manon brings an artist’s imagination and a technologist’s understanding of what is becoming possible. What excites me is his passion for sharing that vision with young people, encouraging them to experiment and discover new ways to express themselves. He understands that the next generation must have a voice in shaping the future of the arts. At Trinity Laban, he will help young artists create their own roadmap into that future, and I am delighted to welcome him as Honorary Vice President."

Award-winning creative director, musician, and entrepreneur Manon Dave has been appointed the inaugural Honorary Vice President of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
This new role signifies Trinity Laban's dedication to artistic excellence, creative technology, and widening participation, building on its established industry collaborations. Dave, who leads Future World Design at BBC Research & Development, will leverage his expertise to further develop the conservatoire's training programmes and industry partnerships, creating more real-world opportunities for students and graduates.
Dave expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "Trinity Laban has a powerful combination of artistic ambition, openness to new ideas and a deep commitment to opportunity. Through the Maia Dave Scholarship, Trusha and I have seen that commitment first-hand. I’m proud to build on that relationship as Honorary Vice President. I look forward to contributing my experience and connections to help shape what comes next, bringing the conservatoire even closer to the people and ideas changing the creative industries and opening up further opportunities for its students."
Professor Anthony Bowne, Principal of Trinity Laban, highlighted Dave's "extraordinary thinking and breadth of experience" as crucial for connecting training with technological and artistic advancements. He added that Dave's insights will shape student opportunities and his industry relationships will foster new partnerships.
Alan Davey, Chair of Trinity Laban, welcomed Dave, noting his "outstanding career and personal commitment to widening access to creative achievement reflect the values that run deeply through Trinity Laban." He stated that Dave, alongside Honorary President A. R. Rahman, strengthens the conservatoire's network of creative leaders.
With over 20 years of experience in entertainment and education technology, Dave's career includes music production collaborations with will.i.am and Idris Elba, and developing creative tools for companies like ROLI and Native Instruments. His work has earned accolades such as CES Best of Innovation and iF Design awards.
Dave will focus on bridging specialist artistic training with industry, particularly exploring AI and emerging technologies in music, dance, and musical theatre. The initiative prioritises equality of access and the democratisation of new technologies, respecting artists' rights.
This role builds on his existing support for Trinity Laban. The Maia Dave Scholarship Fund, established with his wife Trusha in memory of their daughter, supports women in music and awarded its first scholarship to singer-songwriter Bee Bran this year. Dave also collaborated with TYX Studios Managing Director Jack Freegard on a studio access partnership, announced in September 2026, providing students with complimentary studio time and industry networking opportunities.
